Food inventory management goes beyond stock quantities
We manage food inventory according to product characteristics and agreed storage and stock rotation requirements. The necessary data and checks are integrated into every stage of the process, from goods receiving and storage to picking and dispatch preparation.

Different products require different handling procedures
Batch Tracking
We record individual batches to distinguish incoming deliveries and trace their movements through the warehouse.
Expiry Date Management
We check and record expiry dates during goods receiving according to agreed requirements.
FIFO & FEFO Stock Rotation
We can manage stock rotation based on the order in which goods were received or their remaining shelf life.
Quarantine & Inventory Blocking
Goods that cannot be released for further processing are segregated or blocked according to predefined procedures.

We check the required information as soon as goods arrive
During goods receiving, we can check quantities, batch numbers, expiry dates, packaging condition and other specified product characteristics, depending on the agreed requirements.
The scope of incoming inspections varies according to the product range. We record the relevant information and place the goods into the appropriate storage conditions.
If a product does not meet the agreed requirements, we separate it from goods approved for further processing and follow the established procedures.
The right batch for every order
We establish stock rotation rules based on product characteristics and agreed operating procedures.
The selected stock rotation method is linked to batch and expiry date records and applied during order picking.
FIFO
Under FIFO (First In, First Out), goods received first are prioritised for picking.
FEFO
FEFO (First Expired, First Out) prioritises products with the earliest expiry dates, taking their remaining shelf life into account.

We track stock movements from receiving to dispatch
By recording batches, expiry dates and stock movements, we can trace when goods were received, where they were stored and how they were subsequently handled.
If goods need to be temporarily excluded from standard warehouse operations, we can place them in quarantine or block them from further processing. The next steps are determined according to agreed procedures.
The right process for every product
Before we begin working together, we assess:
Stock rotation rules
Type and characteristics of the goods
Scope of incoming inspections
Required storage conditions
Procedures for handling non-conforming goods
Batch and expiry date tracking requirements
Quarantine and inventory blocking requirements
Returns processing requirements
Based on this information, we design the appropriate processes, from goods receiving through to stock picking and dispatch.

Nejčastější dotazy
Can you manage inventory using FEFO?
Yes. Where FEFO is suitable for your product range, we can prioritise picking based on the remaining shelf life of individual products.
How do you track batches and expiry dates?
We check and record the required information when goods are received. This data is then used for storage management, order picking and tracking stock movements.
What happens to goods that cannot be released for processing?
We segregate or block the affected goods and follow the predefined procedures for further handling.
Does all food need to be stored in chilled conditions?
No. Storage conditions depend on the characteristics and requirements of each product. Ambient, chilled or frozen storage can be used as appropriate.
